Jerudong Park Polo Trophy 25.05.18
The rain came down but it did nothing to dampen the spirits of the crowds at Cirencester Park Polo Club for the Jerudong Park Trophy.
This eagerly anticipated calendar event is steeped in history and was made even more special by the promise of HRH Duke of Cambridge making a playing appearance for team – Cirencester Park.
We were tasked with providing a three course meal for around 100 guests of the chairman and the club. Chef Rob Goves selected a starter of salmon carpaccio followed by a main of Cotswold lamb rump with summer vegetables and a garden mint consommé. Followed by a dessert of passion fruit and raspberry Eton Mess.
“The menu reflected the day,” Chef Rob explained after. “There was a real element of spring in the air with showers clearing for stunning sunshine. The polo was fantastic and all of our guests enjoyed the day.
“We look after the Cirencester Park Polo Club’s catering needs throughout the season but today was made that extra special as the Prince was here and money was being raised for two great charities. Fields in Trust and the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund.”
